The Heather Ivy Society was introduced in 2012 as a support group, information resource and activism network for women whose lives are influenced by HIV. The society’s mission is to provide a secure forum and support network whereby women may obtain peer and professional guidance on HIV-related women’s health issues, without stigma, judgment or harassment.

Living with HIV can sometimes be a lonely experience. In addition to having a life-changing condition, you may have to deal with the stigma attached to it. The Heather Ivy Society is committed to providing a nurturing community of support for HIV-positive women, who may experience worry, fear, embarrassment, or shame in living with an HIV diagnosis.
